The information provided by Semantic.io ("we," "us," or "our") on semantic.io (the "Site") and through the Semantic AI SEO Harness platform (the "Service") is for general informational and automation purposes only. All information on the Site and Service is provided in good faith; however, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information.
Under no circumstance shall we have any liability to you for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the Site or Service or reliance on any information provided. Your use of the Site and Service and your reliance on any information is solely at your own risk.
2. No Guarantee of SEO Results
Semantic.io does not guarantee any specific search engine rankings, traffic levels, click-through rates, or revenue outcomes. Search engine algorithms are proprietary, change frequently, and are outside our control. Past performance metrics displayed in the Service (including growth rates, click counts, and position changes) are historical observations and do not guarantee future results.
The statistics, projections, and recommendations provided by the Service are generated by AI systems based on available data and should be treated as directional guidance, not guarantees. Users should exercise independent judgment when making business decisions based on Service outputs.
3. AI-Generated Content Disclosure
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content including but not limited to: article drafts, meta descriptions, title tags, content briefs, keyword recommendations, and strategic suggestions. AI-generated content:
- May contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or factual errors
- Should be reviewed by a human before publication
- Does not constitute professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise)
- Is produced algorithmically and may not reflect our views or endorsements
- May inadvertently resemble existing published content
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before it is published to your website or any third-party platform. When using Tier 3 (Fully Autonomous) automation, you accept responsibility for content published without manual review.
4. Data Usage Policy
This section details how Semantic.io collects, processes, and utilizes data within the Service.
4.1 Data We Process

4.2 How Data Is Used
- Analysis: Your data is processed to generate insights, identify opportunities, detect traffic declines, and build content strategies.
- Automation: When automation is enabled, data drives automated actions (content updates, meta tag changes, index submissions, internal link modifications).
- AI Training: We do NOT use your data to train AI models. Your content, keywords, and performance data remain private to your account.
- Aggregation: We may use anonymized, aggregated data (with no personally identifiable information) to improve the Service and produce industry benchmarks.
4.3 Data Isolation
Each workspace's data is logically isolated. Users within a workspace can only access data for sites within that workspace. There is no cross-workspace data sharing or visibility.
5. Data Retention Policy
Semantic.io is designed to be your long-term SEO intelligence layer. Our retention policy reflects this commitment:

5.2 After Cancellation

5.3 Comparison with Google Search Console
Google's Search Console UI retains performance data for approximately 16 months (with the API providing up to 16 months of historical data). Semantic.io stores your GSC data from the moment you connect your account and retains it indefinitely, giving you access to multi-year historical trends that would otherwise be lost.
5.4 Data Deletion Requests
You may request immediate deletion of all your data at any time by contacting privacy@semantic.io or by deleting your account from workspace settings. Deletion requests are processed within 72 hours. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with and relies upon third-party services. We are not responsible for the practices, policies, or availability of these services:
- Google (Search Console, Indexing API, OAuth): Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Ahrefs: Subject to Ahrefs Terms of Service
- Semrush: Subject to Semrush Terms of Service
- Stripe: Payment processing subject to Stripe's Terms of Service
- WordPress: Content publishing subject to your WordPress site's terms
Changes to third-party APIs, rate limits, or terms may affect Service functionality. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt to such changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to third-party features.
7. Automated Actions Disclaimer
When you enable Tier 2 or Tier 3 automation, the Service may take actions on your behalf including but not limited to: modifying page titles, updating meta descriptions, adding or removing internal links, submitting URLs for indexing, and publishing or updating content on connected platforms (e.g., WordPress).
While we implement safeguards (risk scoring, rollback capabilities, rate limiting), automated actions carry inherent risk. You acknowledge that:
- Automated changes may temporarily or permanently affect your search rankings
- Content published autonomously may require post-publication editing
- Rollback may not fully restore previous state in all cases (e.g., if search engines have already re-crawled)
- You are responsible for monitoring automated actions and their outcomes
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Semantic.io, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Actions taken by automated systems on your behalf
- Changes in search engine rankings or traffic following use of the Service
